Raleigh is a 71ft by 7ft Trad. Raleigh was thought to originally be a Bantock horse drawn working boat constructed in wood & iron in the 1800’s. She was purchased by her current owners from The Stourbridge Arm and previously to that she was a house boat in London. In the past 25 years she has undergone an extensive renovation by her current owners. She had a new steel bottom & cabin which was completed by Ken Field in 1997, the knees are original. When renovating the internals, the owners wanted to keep as much of the materials from local sources. The teak wood comes from Elmdon Comprehensive school and the mahogany is from the doors in Lloyds bank, Birmingham. Hot water is supplied by a Calorifier/ Immersion. There is a solid fuel stove in the saloon. The G.M. 3.6 litre (1959) engine, housed in its own engine room, provides the propulsion. This was installed in 1996 by the current owners. PRM gearbox. Electrics include: 240v landline, a Sterling 1800w inverter, a Absaar battery charger, a Sterling galvanic isolator, 1 starter & 3 leisure batteries (all 110 a/h). 4 berth with a fixed double and a convertible double in the Boatman’s cabin. The bathroom contains a porcelain cassette toilet, a 4ft bath with shower over and a vanity basin. The galley is equipped with a Thetford Midi Prima MKIII cooker, a 3 way Thetford fridge and Formica worktops. BSC September 2022. Hull survey & blacked 2019. 3 x side hatches. Raleigh is a stunning and rare vessel to the market.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
