Eberspacher Central Heating and 2 x solid fuel stoves
Calorifier hot water with fitted immersion heater

From the bow well deck you enter the boat into the lounge through solid hardwood glazed doors, with windows either side. This makes for a light and airy feel to the generous living space. There is no fixed seating so it is ready for personal furniture. On your Left is a solid fuel stove.
As you move towards the galley in this open plan layout, there is a side hatch to your right with access steps. Then the galley is walk through and has plenty of storage space as well as a 4 burner hob and oven/grill. Moving onwards to the corridor another set of side doors to the left. This allows for generous light and ventilation in the summer and you benefit from side doors on both sides of the boat.
Next is the Bedroom, where a fixed double bed fits snugly in it's own cabin, with overhead storage as well as good storage under.
Moving down the boat the Bathroom is conveniently located next to the bedroom and between this and the back cabin. So all guests can gain access at night. In the Bathroom is a pump out toilet, sink and cupboard and a shower.
Along the corridor is a wardrobe for additional storage and towels.
Next is the inboard traditional engine room. This has side doors on both sides of the boat and is home to the Traditional Ruston Engine nicknamed "Old Grumpy"! The useful space is also home to the battery bank, eberspacher diesel central heating boiler - which runs the finrads located along the length of the boat, Mastervolt inverter, battery charger and the Calorifier tank for hot water. All neatly boxed away but very accessible if so required.
Finally as expected the the traditional boatmans backcabin is at the stern of the craft and laid out as expected with a side bed, fold down table cupboard which doubles as a wardrobe hanging space and a fold down bed. The bed is a boat double size and has a clever double hinged section to allow offset engine room access. There is also a traditional backcabin coal range with oven by the steerers feet. - Great in the winter! The back cabin is decorated in the usual roses and castles. It does require the traditional scumble graining to complete. Should you wish to have this carried out then our traditional boat painters can give you a quote to finish this. (did you know we carry out traditional paintwork and scumble for some of the countries canal museums?)
All in all this is a very practical, traditional narrowboat that encompasses all the charms of the canal yet is still a very versatile craft in layout and design. The length will allow cruising around the majority of the canal system with only a couple of navigations inaccessible.
