Introducing Longhope, a charming 70ft traditional narrowboat built by Pat Buckle, this well-maintained vessel offers an excellent opportunity for anyone dreaming of life on the water or seeking a spacious and comfortable leisure boat. With accommodation for four, Longhope features a fixed double bed, a make up double to the bow and a thoughtfully designed bathroom equipped with a Thetford cassette toilet, bath, and vanity basin, making it ideal for extended stays or full-time living.
The galley is fully fitted with a cooker, fridge/freezer, and even a washing machine, offering all the essentials for everyday living. Heating and hot water are provided by a Morco gas boiler and a solid fuel stove with a back boiler, ensuring warmth and comfort throughout the seasons. Power is efficiently managed with a 12v and 240v system, inverter, a starter and leisure battery, and 400 watts of solar panels supported by an MPPT controller. The boat is powered by a reliable three-cylinder Perkins diesel engine and holds approximately 40 gallons of fuel.
Constructed with a durable steel hull and flat bottom, Longhope combines solid craftsmanship with thoughtful details, including hardwood, tile, and vinyl flooring, ply cabin sides, and polystyrene insulation. Light streams in through classic porthole windows, while two side hatches and new rear and cratch covers add practicality and style.
A recent hull survey was completed in 2023, and the boat holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until 2027, offering additional reassurance to potential buyers.
Whether you’re a first-time boater or a seasoned cruiser, Longhope promises a comfortable and character-filled lifestyle afloat.

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.
The boat is powered by a reliable three-cylinder Perkins diesel engine and holds approximately 40 gallons of fuel.
BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
